How to resize an image
- Drag your images onto the box above, or click to browse.
- Choose Percentage to scale by a factor, or Max width & height to fit inside an exact box. The new dimensions update live.
- Click Download on any image, or Download all to save every resized file.
Percentage or max dimensions?
Use Percentage when you just want everything smaller (for example 50% of the original). Use Max width & height when you need images to fit a specific space — like 1280×1280 for a marketplace listing. Either way the aspect ratio is preserved, so nothing looks stretched.
Is it private and safe?
Yes. Toolyard resizes images inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never uploaded anywhere, so they can't be stored or seen by anyone. It works offline once loaded, too.
Frequently asked questions
Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?
Yes — images are always scaled proportionally, so they never look stretched or squashed.
Can I enlarge an image?
You can scale above 100%, but making an image larger than the original can look soft, since there's no extra detail to add.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything runs on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.
Is it free?
Completely free, no watermarks, no sign-up.
